Cecile Landi, Simone Biles' former coach, landed in Georgia to start her tenure as a co-head coach at the University of Georgia. She will join Ryan Roberts to work for the Georgia Bulldogs gymnastics team after bidding adieu to the World Championships Center in Texas.
Cecile Landi represented the French gymnastics team at the 1996 Olympics and made appearances on the world stage in 1997-1998. After retiring from elite gymnastics in 1999, Simone Biles' former coach trained gymnasts at the French National Training Center (2001-2004) before she moved to the United States with her then-boyfriend Laurent Landi.
Following her experience at Bart Conner Gymnastics (Oklahoma) and WOGA (Texas), the 44-year-old started coaching the three-time Olympian Simone Biles at the World Champions Center in 2017. Since then, the coach-athlete duo has successfully navigated the highs of Olympic victories and the lows of the 2021 Tokyo Games, among others.
In April 2024, Cecile Landi signed with the Georgia Bulldogs team as a co-head coach, ending her tenure at the WCC. In a recent Instagram story, Landi announced her landing in Georgia to start her career at the University of Georgia.
The story featured the statue of the official mascot of the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Simone Biles bid her former coach adieu in an Instagram story, expressing that she can't call it a 'goodbye' but a 'see you later'.

Cecile Landi shared the seven-time Olympic gold medalist's story with heart and teary-eyed emojis.
Before boarding the flight from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the former WCC coach snapped 'Houston' on a wall and wrote:
"Goodbye Texas. Thank you for the past 17 years."

Landi has trained gymnasts at WCC for seven years. In an Instagram post, she expressed gratitude to the gymnasts and their families for showing immense trust in her over the years.
"Thank you to the entire WCC family for your endless support and love I’ve felt these past 7 years. Thank you to all of my athletes and their families for your trust and commitment to our program! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for y’all. Forever WCC PROUD," her caption said.
The picture montage featured her farewell party at WCC and a combination of group photos at the gym.
Biles added her first Olympic medals in Paris under Landis' tutelage. In an Instagram post, she expressed pride in the Olympic champion, Simone Biles, and her fellow WCC gymnast, Jordan Chiles, for their Paris Olympic success.
