The 46-year-old is a two-time Olympian and is aiming to make her third appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Rose started her international swimming career with the Brazilian national team. She competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics as a Brazilian, finishing 14th in the 100-m butterfly and 22nd in the 200-m individual medley. She was placed 23rd in the 100-m freestyle.

Now, Rose has rekindled her love for swimming and is eager to make it to her third Olympic Games. Rose entered the U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials 2024 as the oldest swimmer and has now mesmerized the crowd inside Indianapolis with a blistering performance in the 100-m breaststroke.

Rose posted a personal best time of 1:08.43 to finish first in her heats. She posted splits of 31.70/36.73 to finish as the 11th fastest swimmer of the night. Olympic champion Lily King emerged as the top seed in 1:06.05. In addition to the 100-m breaststroke, Gabrielle Rose is also set to compete in the women's 200-m breaststroke event.
