Aleah Finnegan stunned the crowd at the packed Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana during the LSU Tigers 2025 season. She dominated the all-around event while the Tigers entered the campaign as the defending champions.
Finnegan, who became the first Filipina artistic gymnast to compete at the Olympics since 1964 executed an astonishing floor routine on Friday, January 3, against the Iowa State. After Sierra Ballard posted 9.850 points and Chase Brock, Olivia Dunne, and Amari Dayton listed 9.875 points individually, Finnegan led the event with a total of 9.950 points.
She performed the last routine for the Tigers on Friday evening. As the senior gymnast stepped on the floor, the crowd present - the largest crowd ever seen at an LSU season opener - erupted in excitement and cheered for her. Her routine included dance and scale elements, featuring flips, turns, passes, and leaps.
