Aly Raisman and Travis Scott were among the celebrities who graced the front row of the NBA Finals Game 2. The Boston Celtics went head-on against the Dallas Mavericks, giving way to a star-studded affair at TD Garden.
Aly Raisman, two-time Olympian and one of the integral members of the 'Fierce Five' at the 2012 London and 'Final Five' at the 2016 Rio was one of the celebrities to attend the match. The five-time all-around medalist in the nationals retired from elite gymnastics in 2020.
Yesterday, Raisman indulged in her love for basketball as she joined American rapper and song producer Travis Scott, and experienced the adrenaline-filled match between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks. Metro Boomin, one of the most influential American record producers, was also present in the celebrity-packed arena.
As the Celtics took a comfortable victory over the Mavericks (105-98), celebrities cheered on from the sidelines. In a video posted by the NBA on Instagram, the high-profile faces were caught posing for the camera. Scott sat with his signature sunglasses on, smiling, while Raisman, wearing a gorgeous black outfit, blew a kiss to the camera.
"#NBACelebRow for Game 2 in Boston!" the caption of the NBA read.
Some of the Boston Bruins athletes in the celebrity row were Jeremy Swayman, David Pastrnak, and Charlie McAvoy, among others.
"Basketball player compared to a gymnast- Aly Raisman once shared a photo with the 6 foot 8 tall Liz Cambage
Bidding goodbye to gymnastics, the prominence of Aly Raisman in and out of the sport still resonates. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she finished with the silver in all-around and floor exercise and gold in the team competition. The same year, Raisman shared a frame with Liz Cambage, the Australian basketball player, representing Sichuan Yuanda.
The 6 foot 8 tall player stood beside the 5 foot 2 Aly Raisman and it looked nothing short of incredible. The massive height difference between both was captured in the photo posted by the former gymnast on her Instagram handle.
"basketball player compared to a gymnast. (Excuse my outfit, don't care it doesn't match. I was tired and hungry)," the caption read.
She paired the post with a series of laughing emojis asserting the comical factor of the photo.
Out of the many sporting ventures, the 2024 Paris Olympics ambassadorship holds more importance since it will be the first Olympiad in years, where she will not compete.
