Sharing her excitement and joy for receiving the honor, the swimmer said,
"I'm so excited to be with the group of amazing girls and it's gonna be a lot of fun. I'm very excited about this shoot and I think at some point to celebrate the women's power in our country I feel very lucky to be a part of this group, with the female athletes at the moment that are just paving the way to just make the young girls. It's a massive honor for me to be here."
"I want to prepare myself the best for those Olympic Games" - Ariarne Titmus reveals the reason for taking an extended break from the sport
Ariarne Titmus has opted for an extended hiatus following her 2024 Paris Olympic appearance. While the swimmer has not specified the time, she wants to avoid losing her passion for the sport while returning early to the pool and training for the next Olympics.
“I’m definitely having a very extended break," Titmus conveyed. "I haven’t planned when I’m going back to swimming. I want to go back when I feel ready to go back. Could be up to 12 months." (via Sportstar)
The Olympian added:
"I just want to make sure I’m ready to go in LA. I don’t want to come back too early and, you know, lose that fire, I guess. I think four years is a long time, so I want to prepare myself the best for those Olympic Games. For me, that’s the priority, not world championships in the years prior."
So far in her career, Ariarne Titmus has collected eight medals in the Olympic circuit.
