Lexi Rodriguez showed her fun side with fellow League One Volleyball (LOVB) Omaha team players during the team's media day. Notably, Rodriguez has joined the LOVB Omaha team following her exploits for the college volleyball team, Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Just after the Nebraska Volleyball team concluded their 2024 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship campaign in the Final Four, LOVB Omaha announced that it had added senior Rodriguez to its roster, indicating that the libero was going professional.
In a recent media day shoot for the side, she was spotted having fun with Omaha teammates including Madisen Skinner, Lauren Strivins, and Jess Mruzik.

In addition to her feature in the video, Lexi Rodriguez also went on to share the media day post on her Instagram story, captioning it:
“Go Omaha 💚”
On December 19, Rodriguez’s dream of becoming an NCAampion was dashed after Nebraska lost to Penn State in a nail-biting national semifinal, with a 3-2 scoreline (25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 26-28, 13-15).
Some of the libero’s biggest collegiate accomplishments include being named to the All-America First Team twice and earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors twice among others.
Lexi Rodriguez expresses her thoughts on public speaking
In an interview with Jessica Coody, host and announcer for the University of Nebraska’s Radio Network, Lexi Rodriguez shared her thoughts on public speaking and whether she enjoys addressing large crowds, saying (starting at 3:25 onwards):
“I'm not a big fan of public speaking at I can play in front of as many people as you want but when you ask me to speak it's not my favorite thing to do but I think it's just preparing me for the future I don't know what I'm going to do but having experiences like that will definitely help me.”
Additionally, she also shared how she felt engaging in such activities with head coach, John Cook, adding (3:06 onwards):
“It's fun, you know, he enjoys talking, he likes chit chatting, finding connections to Nebraska and all that but I mean outside of the season he gets to travel and just do stuff. He has so much fun.”
Cook has been serving as the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers Volleyball team since 2000.
