The three-time Olympic gold medalist, Gabby Douglas resumed her training ahead of the much-awaited Core Hydration Classic 2024. This comes after the complications that the Virginia native faced due to the cancellation of flights.
Owing to this, Douglas was stuck in Dallas for some time and also stated about these complications on her social media handles.
However, Douglas reached Hartford, the seat of the U.S. Classic with the help of a private jet and started off her training straight away.
Even though the three-time Olympic medalist was very low on sleep due to her hectic journey, she was seen boasting off her amazing flexibility at the 2024 Core Classic podium training, assisted by her trainer. Douglas was quite fluent with her movements and performed a beautiful routine ahead of the Classic.

The Virginia native made her comeback into professional gymnastic competition last month in Texas during the American Classic and the Core Hydration Classic will be the second tournament amidst her comeback.
Gabby Douglas will be catching up with her old friend and teammate Simone Biles in the tournament but this time as a rival. Both Douglas and Biles will be looking to get into their momentum as soon as possible before the greatest sporting event of the summer unfolds in Paris just after a few months.
Besides Biles and Douglas, a third Olympian in Suni Lee will also feature in this annual competition which makes its roster one of the most high-profile rosters in the history of gymnastic competitions.

Making a comeback to professional gymnastic tournaments after eight long years, Gabby Douglas produced an astonishing performance in the American Classic 2024.
Even though the Virginia native was a bit streaky in the first rotations, she came back strongly and quickly showed her mettle which also included a double-twisting Yurchenko during her second rotation of the event.
She finished tenth in the all-around competition of the event but finished off strongly in pole vault exercises (14.000 points) and beam balance (13.350 points). Owing to this superb performance she earned a qualification in these two events for the upcoming Xfinity US Championships scheduled from May 30- June 2 in Fort Worth, Texas.
This was an absolutely stunning performance considering her return from a long hiatus. However, Douglas will definitely not stop her and will be looking to qualify for the third Olympics of her career in Paris and the first since the 2016 Rio Olympics.
