After an incredible race at the Athlos NYC, Gabby Thomas delighted her fans by handing out the shoes as a token of appreciation, expressing her gratitude for their support. Thomas competed in the women's 200m event at the debut edition of Athlos NYC.
The Paris Olympics gold medalist Thomas secured second place in the event after clocking a time of 22.21 seconds. She followed the Paris Games 200m event's bronze medalist and teammate Brittany Brown, who posted a stunning 22.18 seconds.
Thomas, along with tennis legend Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian, announced the Athlos NYC on April 23, 2024, during the Business of Women's Sports Summit in New York City. Following her Paris Olympics successful streak with three gold medals in 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay races, Thomas headlined the Athlos NYC.
In a recently shared video by Athlos NYC, Thomas presented her shoes to two fans after her race. Thrilled by the athlete's warm gesture, the young girl fans danced and exuded joy. Sharing the heartfelt gesture, Athlos NYC wrote":

Gabby Thomas recently reacted to the bibs designed by Athlos specifically for female athletes. The debut edition of the Athlos NYC was a standout event, emerging as a highlight in the athletics calendar this year.
Ditching the traditional bibs, the Athlos NYC opted for custom-made bibs, precisely crafted to be smaller in size, ensuring a comfortable fit without restricting athletes' movements. Highlighting the importance of bibs for athletes, Thomas wrote,
"If you ever ran track you know how big of a deal these bibs are."
Apart from the bibs, the Athlos NYC featured multiple innovations, including DJ Derrick “D-Nice” Jones curating a custom walk-out song for each athlete. The first edition featured a staggering prize money of $60,000,$25,000, and $10,000 for the first three finishers of any race, respectively.
Before fronting the Athlos NYC, Gabby Thomas bagged the gold medal in the 200m by clocking a spectacular time of 21.83 seconds to defeat 100m gold medalist Julien Alfred and Brittany Brown, who recorded 22.08 and 22.20 seconds, respectively.
