Gabby Thomas was seen trying a unique stunt by hopping on the trend of 'defying gravity.' The athlete recently started training for the upcoming track season. Thomas wrapped up her 2024 by competing at the Athlos NYC, where she claimed second position in the 200m as she was bested by her Olympic contender Brittany Brown.
Ahead of Alexis Ohanian's event, the American athlete shone brightly at the Paris Olympics, where she won three gold medals. She won her first gold medal in the 200m dash, where she recorded a time of 21.83s and defeated Julien Alfred and Brown, who clocked 22.08s and 22.20s, respectively.
Following this, the 28-year-old won her gold in the 4x100m relay, where she and her team of Jefferson, Terry, and Richardson clocked a time of 41.78s. The third gold clinched by Thomas was in the 4x400m, where she and her team of Holmes, McLaughlin-Levrone, and Little recorded 3:15.27 to stand atop the podium.
Currently the athlete is preparing for the 2025 track season, and she was recently seen trying a viral social media challenge, 'defying gravity.' An insider shared a video of two athletes holding Gabby Thomas by her legs while she was in a handstand position, and then she left the balance of her hands, defying gravity.
Not only Thomas, but also multiple other athletes, like basketball player Alyssa Ustby, and others also tried their hands at it. The American athlete recently signed up for Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track, which will take place in 2025.

n an interview with Flo Track, Gabby Thomas opened up about joining Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track. She exuded excitement by saying that the event gives the sport a platform 'it deserves' and that she wanted to test herself by competing at that level against the fastest women in the world.
"I am so excited to be joining Grand Slam Track, and partnering with Michael Johnson to give our sport the platform it deserves. Coming off of the Olympics, I want to continue testing myself and competing at the highest level against the fastest women in the world." (via Flo Track)

"Grand Slam Track allows us that chance in 2025. Michael’s vision is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to give the millions of track fans around the world even more chances to watch us compete. I look forward to seeing all of our fans at the four Slams next year."
The Grand Slam Track will commence in April 2025, and Gabby Thomas has shared some of her workout regime for the upcoming season, gearing herself up for the competition.
