Gabby Thomas brought a playful twist to the iconic social media trend "In da clurb, we all fam" as she made a splash at the highly anticipated College Game Day showdown between Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns. The Paris Olympics gold medalist perfectly captured the spirit of the event along with former quarterback Vince Young.
Fresh off her Olympic victory, Thomas is juggling a hectic lifestyle, including making media appearances, attending events, and stepping into a new role as an interviewer at Vogue's Forces of Fashion. She secured three gold medals at the Paris Games, including the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relay events.
In one such post-Olympics activity, she made an appearance at the ESPN College GameDay between the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs in Austin, Texas. Ahead of the match, she recreated the famous social media trend "In da clurb, we all fam" with Young.
The trend features an audio from the Comedy Central series "Broad City," starring Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. The sprinter and former quarterback duo is seen lipsyncing over the audio.
Thomas shared the humorous video with her fans on social media and wrote:
"But it’s still hook ‘em horns!!! 🤘🏽"

"Feeling embraced" - Gabby Thomas expresses her love and backs Texas Longhorns community
Georgia-born Olympian Gabby Thomas extended her support to the University of Texas during the Georgia Bulldogs vs Longhorns clash. Although Thomas started her career in Georgia, she moved to Texas to polish her athletic skills while pursuing her master’s degree in public health.
Speaking to ESPN, she showed her strong support for the Texas Longhorns.
"You know Georgia is where it all started, but I'm really feeling embraced by the Longhorn community," Thomas said. "So Texas is where my heart lies."
Thomas credited her success to training under former Olympian Tonja Buford-Bailey at the Buford-Bailey Track Club in Texas.
"The training in Texas is really challenging. It's intense. It is hot. But being a part of this atmosphere in this environment is what really got me to where I am today."
Gabby Thomas clinched the gold medal in the 200m at the French capital after clocking a stunning time of 21.83 seconds to defeat the 100m champion Julien Alfred, who posted 22.08 seconds.
