Gabby Thomas revealed the secret behind winning three gold medals at the Paris Olympics
Gabby Thomas recently appeared in the CBS Mornings interview, where she unveiled the secret behind winning three gold medals at the Paris Olympics. She said that the power of self-talk helped her in the Olympic journey, and she believed that she was already the Olympic champion even before racing.
"I am building my self-talk. I'm building my confidence in that moment. I am telling myself that I am already the Olympic champion," Gabby Thomas said. "I wrote down over and over every morning, while I was in Paris, that I will be the Olympic champion - in my notes app - over and over and I envisioned the race all day, every day, imagining myself winning and crossing the line in front."
Thomas now has a total of five Olympic medals, of which three are gold, and the other two are silver and bronze medals, which she grabbed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 27-year-old will next be competing at the Athlos NYC meet in the 200m dash at Icahn Stadium.
