Gabby Thomas recently shared a glimpse of her trendy workout sessions with another American athlete, Lynna Irby-Jackson, ahead of her race at the Athlos NYC meet. This is a women-only track event organized by Serena William's husband, Alexis Ohanian, and is slated to be held on September 26 at the Icahn Stadium.
Thomas recently excelled at the Paris Olympics and proved herself as a formidable athlete by winning three golds in the event. She won her first gold in the 200m dash, where she clocked a time of 21.83s, defeating Julien Alfred and Brittany Brown. Following this, she clinched her next gold in the women's 4x100m relay, where she and her team, which included Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, and Sha'Carri Richardson, clocked 41.78s to stand atop the podium.
The American clinched her third gold medal in the 4x400m relay, where she and her team, which included Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Alexis Holmes, and Shamier Little, clocked 3:15.27 to grab the win. Weeks after her Paris Olympics exploits, the 27-year-old is now gearing up to compete at the Athlos NYC meet, which is organized by Alexis Ohanian.
Ahead of her performance in the 200m event, Thomas shared a video on Instagram where she was seen dancing to the song 'Nasty' by Tinashe, alongside Irby-Jackson on a track. The post's caption read:

Gabby Thomas opened up about her expectations from the Athlos NYC meet
Gabby Thomas, who is one of the athletes to run at the Athlos NYC meet, is geared up to compete in the 200m and exuded excitement about getting back on the track after her journey at the Paris Olympics. She said that her mind knows what to do, and being called the "fastest woman" is a "surreal" feeling for her.
"While I'm racing I'm in the zone, it is a flow state. I let all the training do the work, my muscles know what to do," Gabby Thomas said.
"My mind knows what to do. Being deemed one of the fastest women on the planet is very surreal to me. Not something that I ever imagined for myself. Athlos definitely feels like an event where we finally as female athletes have some ownership, have some say. We have a big part in its creation. I'm excited!"
Along with Gabby Thomas, other athletes, such as the world record holder Faith Kipyegon, Dominican athlete Marileidy Paulino, and American athlete Masai Russell, will also compete at the Athlos NYC meet.
