After winning three Olympic gold medals for the USA at the Paris Olympics and finishing in the runners-up position in a closely contested race at the Athlos NYC meet, famous sprinter Gabby Thomas is on a well-deserved break.

The 27-year-old sprinter shared a glimpse of her 'off-season' on her Instagram account, where she was grooving to 'Did Somebody Say' by Christina Aguillera. In the reel posted on her Instagram account, Gabby Thomas cheekily asked her followers if anyone was ready for a 'sweet treat'.

The 27-year-old Olympic champion captioned the post as:

"POV ITS OFF SEASON BABY"

Gabby Thomas recently concluded her athletic season of 2024 on a high note. The American sprinter earned laurels for her country in almost every event she took part in, especially at the Paris Olympics, where Thomas won not one, but three Olympic gold medals.

Thomas recently lost a chance to win the inaugural season of Athlos NYC after an intense race with teammate and Olympic bronze medalist Brittany Brown, who eventually won the race with a timing of 22.18 seconds, defeating Gabby Thomas by three-hundredths of a second. However, unfazed by the upset, Thomas posted on her X account [formerly Twitter],

"Every track meet needs to be like @athlos. End of discussion"

Gabby Thomas stood second in the Athlos NYC meet's 200m event, with a timing of 22.21 seconds. She also won the gold medal in the women's 200m, the women's 4x100m relay, and the women's 4x400m relay at the Paris Olympics.

Before the Paris Olympics, Gabrielle 'Gabby' Thomas was best known for clinching a silver medal in the 4x100m relay and a bronze medal in the women's 200m event at the Paris Olympics. Against all expectations, the medical professional set out to make 2024 one of the best seasons of her career.

Though she had improved her individual timing to 21.60 seconds, apart from winning a silver medal at the 2023 World Championships, Thomas was not considered the top favorite for an Olympic gold medal in the women's 200m event.

However, Gabby Thomas was more than determined to prove everyone wrong. She began the year on an impressive note by winning the gold medal for Team USA at the World Relays held in the Bahamas. Thomas won the gold medal in both the women's 4x100m relay and the women's 4x400m relay.

At the US Olympic Trials, Thomas qualified for the Paris Olympics by topping her 200m trials, clocking a time of 21.81 seconds. At the Paris Olympics, Thomas edged out the 100m Olympic champion, Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia, as she won her first Olympic gold medal in the 200m event, with a timing of 21.83 seconds.

Thomas subsequently took part in the women's 4x100m relay and the women's 4x400m relay event, where she contributed to the historic performance of the USA, as they won both events in style.

Gabby Thomas didn't take part in any of the events of the Wanda Diamond League 2024, thus being unable to qualify for the finals held at Brussels, which Brittany Brown eventually won. Thomas' last race for the season was the Athlos NYC, where she lost to Brown after an intense race in the 200m.
