Olympic medalist Ilona Maher recently visited the NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings. The rugby player posted some fun moments from the game on her Instagram account.
Maher uploaded a video where she hilariously tackled her dancing partner Alan Bersten before the game. In the video, the Olympic bronze medalist is seen pinning Bersten with a tackle move, who bounces back with an amazing flip The rugby player posted the video with the caption,
"Now I got to teach Alan something 🏈Been wanting to do this all season"
Los Angeles Rams also acknowledged their presence by posting on their Instagram account a couple of photographs with the caption :
"Partners on the dance floor. Rivals on TNF. 💃🕺"
Ilona Maher is currently participating in the 33rd season of the dance reality show 'Dancing with the Stars'. Double Olympic medalist gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik is also a fellow contestant this season.
Mahe contributed to the historic performance of Team USA in the rugby sevens at the Paris Olympics 2024. Despite losing the semifinals to eventual champions from New Zealand, the women's rugby sevens team created history by defeating Australia to take home their first-ever Olympic medal in this sport.

Olympic medalist Ilona Maher has left no stone unturned to impress the audience with her performances at the 33rd season of 'Dancing with the Stars'. After five weeks of intense competition, Maher and Alan Bersten are one of the seven duos remaining in the competition.
The previous week, Maher performed on the song 'Surface Pressure' from the Disney movie Encanto. She talked about how she related to the character she portrayed in the performance.
"I really resonate with Luisa. I too grew up as a bigger female. She is big and broad but she is so beautiful. She doesn’t ever try to shrink herself for the world. I'm so happy I’m sharing that with people now. Just like Luisa, I might bend, but I’ll never break," said the 28-year-old rugby player. (via Entertainment Weekly)
Maher's performance on the Hair Metal-themed night wasn't impressive, and the duo barely managed to avoid elimination. The Olympian was brought to tears after the performance and even apologized to Bersten..
"I felt like, I guess, a failure in a way for disappointing you," she told Alan.
Ilona Maher later performed a brilliant Rumba on the song 'My Way'. The performance earned the duo an impressive 32 out of 40. Maher's performance at the Disney-themed night was also extremely brilliant, earning the duo a surprise 25 out of 30 and helping them proceed to the next round with ease.
