Jordan Chiles recently stunned with her first fashion walk at New York Fashion Week days after her Paris Olympics bronze medal controversy. The American gymnast was stripped of her medal a few days after her win.
Chiles initially finished fifth with a score of 13.666 points in the floor routine at the 2024 Summer Games; however, after an appeal made by her coach, she was awarded the bronze medal. Her score was increased to 13.766, replacing the Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu, who initially won the medal with a score of 13.700 points.
Days after this podium finish, the American was stripped of her bronze medal, following the Romanian Gymnastics Federation's appeal to the CAS. The authorities stated that Chiles' appeal was initiated 1 minute and 4 seconds late, which shifted her back to fifth position. Days after this, she was seen doing her first fashion walk at the New York Fashion Week.
Maire Claire Magazine shared a video of the gymnast walking on the ramp while she donned a glamorous white-colored one piece with flares on the side. The post's caption read:
"Walk like a boss Ms. Chiles. We spotted Olympic medalist #JordanChiles slaying the @kimshuistudio runway at #NYFW."

Laurie Hernandez opened up about Jordan Chiles' bronze medal controversy
Retired American gymnast Laurie Hernandez spoke to Jordan Chiles after the latter was stripped of her bronze medal. She opened up about her conversation with Chiles in an interview with E! News Online and said:
"I've reached out a bit. I think she's just feeling a lot of heartbreak. There's no words for it."
She added:
"It's whoever had approved the inquiry if they knew it was late. It's in those hands. I really respect that the rules are the rules, but the athlete has to come into consideration. My heart breaks for both athletes, knowing that this is happening in the public eye.”
Jordan Chiles, who took a hiatus from social media after the controversy, has made her comeback on the platforms.
She recently attended the US Open semi-final match between Jessica Pegula and Karolina Muchova on September 6 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The 23-year-old will next be seen performing at the Gold Over America Tour along with teammate Simone Biles, which is scheduled to start on September 16, 2024.
