LSU Gymnastics’ Konnor McClain just unlocked a new achievement, as she scored the first perfect ten of her collegiate career on Saturday. The Tigers were competing at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad for their second meet of the year when McClain completed her flawless routine.
For the former National Champion, this is her freshman season with the LSU Gymnastics team. Having been on the US National Team between 2018 and 2023, the youngster has competed in many prestigious events, including the 2021 World Championships.
Going into the meet, expectations were high for Konnor McClain, and she has certainly delivered. Taking to the uneven bars in the Maverik Center in West Valley, Utah, the 18-year-old performed the stunning routine before she landed, as the crowd and her teammates cheered her on.

LSU Gymnastics claim second place at the Collegiate Quad
For the LSU Gymnastics team, this season has certainly gotten off to a strong start. Their first meet of the year came on January 5 when they took on the Ohio State Buckeyes at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, LA.
The competition went down to the wire, but it was the Tigers who emerged victorious with a score of 196.975, while Ohio scored 196.775. LSU’s Haleigh Bryant and Amari Drayton were the standout performers of that meet, and the two were even honored with the first SEC awards of the season for their impeccable performances.
For their second meet of the season, the LSU Gymnastics team was in action at the Farmer's Market Collegiate Quad, where they faced Oklahoma, Utah, and UCLA. The team was extraordinarily impressive in their routines at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
The Tigers scored 197.150 to finish second to Oklahoma. The team's bar record was the highlight of the night, as they scored 49.650 in their last rotation, which is the highest recorded score on the road and matches the program's third-highest bar score in school history.
The LSU team will next be in action on Friday, January 19, as they take on Kentucky for their SEC opener at the PMAC.
