Mikaela Shiffrin and her fiance Aleksander Kilde were back in the kitchen for another round of their hilarious baking adventures. Both skiers are gearing up for the alpine skiing season, slated from October 26, 2024.

After navigating through what has been a turbulent year, Kilde and Shiffrin are making the most of every moment together, savoring every adventure and finding joy in each other's company.

On January 13, 2024, Kilde suffered a devasting crash during a World Cup downhill race in Wengen, Switzerland, resulting in a dislocated shoulder, two torn shoulder ligaments, and a laceration on his calf, after which he had to be airlifted.

A few days later, on January 26, 2024, Shiffrin endured a crash during the World Cup downhill race on the Olympia delle Tofane course in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. The severe crash led to a sprained MCL and tibiofibular ligament in her knee.

However, after committing to recovery, the couple is all set to compete in the upcoming season. They were recently seen sharing a good laugh while baking banana bread. Shiffrin sppreciated Kilde's baking skills after tasting the bread.

"It's good," she said.

Shiffrin shared the video with her fans on social media and wrote,

"Part ✌🏻 of baking banana bread with my king! I know y’all were waiting for this 😅🤪. Think we should start a new baking series? #wearebaking"

The video came after a few days of Kilde sharing the first part of their baking session.

"Stay tuned for part ✌🏼, back with the baking queen," Kilde wrote.

On the 2024 World Mental Health Day, Mikaela Shiffrin penned a heartful message for her fiance Aleksander Kilde after navigating a long-distance relationship for some time after the former skier moved to Chile for a few months of training.

Shiffrin highlighted the difficult phase Kilde went through following the accident. She praised his resilience and acknowledged his ability to stay positive.

"After several months apart, I’m finally back with this wonderful man for a few days! On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, I want to take a moment to recognize @akilde. Throughout all of the challenges he has faced this summer, he has taken it all in stride, and continued to find reasons to smile."

She added:

"He’s been courageous and honest and kind and patient, and I’m so thankful to have him not only as my fiancé—but as my role model in how to take on the challenges that life throws at us.❤️🙏"

Mikaela Shiffrin will be seen competing on October 26, 2024, in Solden, Austria.
