Mikaela Shiffrin was recently seen enjoying a baking session with her fiance and fellow skier Aleksander Kilde. The couple announced their engagement on social media this year in April.
2024 has been a roller-coaster for both Shiffrin and Kilde, as it carries it all, from getting major injuries to getting engaged. Kilde sustained major injuries in January after he met a brutal crash in Switzerland while competing in a downhill race in Wengen. He was airlifted from the location after dislocating his shoulder and sustaining a cut in his calf.
Three months after this unfortunate incident, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. They shared a bunch of pictures posing with each other and Shiffrin flaunting her ring. Following this, the couple was recently seen spending some quality time together, as Kilde shared a video of them baking on Instagram.
The couple were seen baking a low-carb banana bread, and the video showcased them gathering the ingredients after reading the instructions and sharing a good laugh while doing the same. The post's caption read:
"Stay tuned for part ✌️, back with the baking queen."
