Olympic double medalist Stephen Nedoroscik has survived the first week at the 'Dancing with the Stars', courtesy of a brilliant paso doble. Though he did not get the perfect 10s on debut, the soon-to-be 26-year-old gymnast has done a phenomenal job with his debut performance, now going viral all over social media.
'Dancing with the Stars' recently uploaded a part of Stephen Nedoroscik's 'Clark Kent' style performance at the 'Oscars night' of the current season. The gymnast was dressed up in a slick look, which resembled Clark Kent before he transitioned into his dance gear. Removing his spectacles in style, the Olympic gymnast performed a brilliant 'paso doble' with his dancing partner Rylee Arnold on the song 'Superman - Main Theme.'
The dancing reality show uploaded two excerpts of his performance on their Instagram account. They captioned one of the posts as:
"That 5pm on a Friday feeling. 😄 Have a great weekend! 🎉#DWTS"
In another post, they wrote about Nedoroscik's performance, saying:
"@stephen_nedoroscik was a superstar performing his #OscarsNight Paso Doble. 🦸♂️ #DWTS"
'Dancing with the Stars' is currently in its 33rd season, where celebrities from all walks of life take part. Olympic medalists Ilona Maher and Stephen Nedoroscik have joined the current season and have made it to the next round too.
Stephen Nedoroscik on his debut performance at the 'Dancing with the Stars'
Stephen Nedoroscik has gained an immense fan following after his debut performance at 'Dancing with the Stars'. However, the Olympic medalist has his aim crystal clear.
In a conversation with the portal Extra TV, Nedoroscik credited the success to his partner Rylee Arnold. In his words,
"... It's so rewarding to go out there and kind of just do the dance that you trained your butt of for the whole week. Our goal was to go out there and get an 8, and we were able to go out there and do it. So, showing improvement from week 1 to and hopefully we just keep that ball rolling."
Rylee Arnold was equally appreciative of Nedoroscik's efforts. She said,
"I really like their feedback, and I thought it was very positive but also, like, very constructive, which is really good. They gave Stephen a lot of good pointers that we can definitely work on in rehearsal, so I was really happy with it. Honestly, just so glad that we’re making improvements with our scores and with our critiques.”
Nedoroscik also acknowledged the presence of Olympic bronze medalist Ilona Maher, who has also made it to the next round. In his words,
"She's just so funny and we're so relatable to one another just coming off the Olympics as well. She's just awesome."
Stephen Nedoroscik had a memorable performance at the Paris Olympics. Apart from contributing to the first team Olympic medal for the USA in 16 years, the 25-year-old gymnast also won an individual bronze in the pommel horse event.
