Sha'Carri Richardson and Cardi B recently joined hands with the NBC Olympics for an advertising campaign for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. A new clip of this collaboration has been released, where both personalities embraced their talents.
This collaboration was announced by the NBC Olympics on May 4, where Sha'Carri Richardson and Cardi B indulged in a candid conversation while getting their nails done in a salon. As part of the advertisement for NBC's Olympics broadcast, the two were seen talking about a variety of topics, ranging from training regimes to challenges faced during the events.
During their conversation, the American sprinter and the Grammy award winner also talked about their 'superpowers'. Richardson shared the video on her Instagram and wrote:
"Celebrating our gifts🥰"
In the video, Cardi B questioned Sha'Carri Richardson about whether she was born with her talent or acquired it with time, to which the world champion replied:
"I really feel like I was born with it. I literally used to race like even like the boys in my neighborhood growing up in the streets. It's cool. I can do this. For me my stage is a track."
Following this, Richardson asked Cardi B what it felt like performing on the stage, to which Cardi B said,
"When the crowd is lit, I just get like this rush in my body. I feel like I was always born to be like that kind of entertainer."
Aside from her off-track achievements, Richardson has dominated on-track as well. At the recently held Prefontaine Classic, she won the 100m event by clocking a time of 10.83s. She bested Julien Alfred, who clocked a time of 10.93s, and Dina Asher-Smith, who clocked 10.98s.
