Two years after retirement, Shaun White looked as strong as ever on the slopes in a clip shared on social media, as he did during his active years. The 37-year-old's post indicated he was in the Mount Hood National Forest.

White amassed three Olympic gold medals in half-piping snowboarding over five Olympic appearances. His snowboarding resume boasts the world record for the most X Games wins, but his success stories are not limited to snowboarding.

He added the title of Action Sports Tour Champion in skateboarding, besides several X Games victories in the same. He also became the first person in history to score a perfect 100 in the men's snowboarding half-pipe at the 2012 Winter X Games. Although he drew a line under his career in 2022, White often returns to the slopes.

White recently took to his Instagram to post a video of him snowboarding, adding a caption that said:

"Should we cruise back?"

The clip featured the 37-year-old showing his snowboarding skills, wearing a hoodie from his brand 'Whitespace'.

Meanwhile, White's girlfriend Nina Dobrev has been healing from an e-bike accident. In an Instagram post, White recently shared a carousel of photos which, among other photos, featured the couple inside a car, and them kayaking with their dog Maverick.

Dobrev sustained a fractured knee and damage to her ACL and meniscus in a dirt bike accident earlier this year. She posted photos of her recovery journey on Instagram after announcing that her surgery was a success. White has been by her side during her recovery process.

The Snow League of Shaun White is slated to hit the slopes soon

Shaun White has come up with a new winter sports league, The Snow League. This league will be the first snowboarding and freeskiing competition of this kind. It is set to kick off in early 2025, with the first event in the USA in March 2025, and concluding in 2026 following the Milan Winter Games. The league will be a global competition with five events for the first season, and there are plans to expand the sports categories along the way.

White shared that the league has been planned methodically, with the organizers aiming to take slow steps toward success.

“Everything we’re doing is very calculated. We want to do it correct; we don’t want to have to go back on something. We want to crawl before we walk before we run," White said. (via Forbes)

The prize purse of his league has been set at $1.5 million. Men and women will compete in five events of the snowboarding halfpipe. 20 men and 16 women will be selected from around the world, using a modified ranking from the World Snowboard Points list.
