Eleven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles was recently seen attempting a standing 1.5 trick alongside her Gold Over America Tour teammates, including Ian Gunther, Yul Moldauer, Joscelyn Roberson, and others. Biles embarked on the tour following a successful Paris Olympics campaign.

The 27-year-old competed in her third Summer Games this year in Paris and had a remarkable run. Biles increased her overall Olympic medal count to 11 after winning four medals in the French capital. She won three golds in the individual all-around, vault, and helped restore America's dominance in the team event as the US side won gold in the team all-around event for the first time in eight years. She also earned a silver medal in the floor exercise apparatus.

After the Paris Olympics, Biles announced the Gold Over America Tour in partnership with Athleta. The event features prominent gymnasts like Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Paul Juda, Frederick Richard, Ian Gunther, Yul Moldauer, Joscelyn Roberson, and others coming together to provide fans with a unique experience.

During the rehearsals of the tour, Biles, along with Gunther, Moldauer, and Roberson, attempted to execute a standing 1.5 trick which involved a takeoff followed by one and a half rotations in the air before landing. Gunther shared the video of their attempt on Instagram, showcasing that only Biles could execute the maneuver successfully. He captioned the post:

"Is anyone surprised Simone is the only one who made it?"

In a conversation with Elle, Simone Biles said that her goal for the tour was to connect with fans, empower young girls, and bring gymnastics to the people who cannot travel and watch their favorite gymnasts perform at professional competitions. She was quoted as saying:

"One of the reasons I wanted to create this experience was to connect with and empower young girls, she said. Not everyone can travel to major competitions to see us, so we’re bringing gymnastics to them and we’re making it fun."

Simone Biles also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to perform in Maryland when the Gold Over America Tour reached Baltimore. She is set to perform at 11 more venues throughout October, starting from Sunrise on Friday, October 11.
