Renowned artistic gymnast Simone Biles recently attempted to juggle but couldn't pull it off despite help from teammate Jordan Chiles. As the most decorated gymnast in World Championships history, Biles has been captivating audiences with her performances in the 2024 Gold Over America Tour, following her triumphant display at the Paris Olympics.
Biles, who was making her third Olympic appearance in Paris, redeemed herself after withdrawing from multiple events, including the women’s all-around team, individuals, vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise at the Tokyo Olympics, following experiencing ‘Twisties’ due to mental health issues.
At the Paris Olympics, the 27-year-old won three gold medals courtesy of her brilliant show in the women's individual all-around, vault, and contributing significantly to the team's victory. She became the most decorated USA gymnast in the quadrennial Games’ history, overtaking Shannon Miller after securing her eighth medal in the form of team gold.
In a recent Instagram video shared by artistic gymnast Ian Gunther, Biles was challenged to juggle. While she admitted she couldn't, the 23-time World Championships gold medalist attempted to juggle two balls before requesting assistance from Jordan Chiles to pass a third. Unfortunately, her efforts to juggle three balls were unsuccessful.
Here's the video of Biles attempting to juggle three balls with help from teammate and close friend Jordan Chiles but failing to execute:
In the video posted by Gunther, many other gymnasts appeared in the video, including Jordan Chiles, Fred Richard, Joscelyn Roberson, Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos, Ellie Black, Yul Moldauer, and Shane Wiskus.
All of the aforementioned gymnasts are also part of the Gold Over America Tour, which is now in its second edition. The Tour is currently taking place across various cities in multiple American states.
Simone Biles opens up on her hobbies outside of gymnastics
Simone Biles opened up about her hobbies and interests outside of gymnastics during her appearance on BuzzFeed Celeb’s YouTube channel before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In a challenge, Biles had to hold puppies while answering questions, during which she said (starting 2:32 onwards):
“Outside of gymnastics, I don't really have too many hobbies. I like to just rot 'cause I'm just tired sometimes. But I do like to shop, I'm good at that. Hanging out with my friends and family.”
During the interaction, the seven-time Olympic gold medalist also mentioned that she liked to take a hot bath with Epsom salts, relax, and watch a movie to relieve herself from stress.
