Simone Biles won the US Hydration Core Classic, the first meet of the season after her debut in the Gymnastics Camp. Her Yurchenko double-pike vault landing was impressive enough to get her husband Jonathan Owens to get up from his seat and celebrate.

Biles, 27, has 37 medals across Worlds and Olympics and 7 medals from the Olympics alone. Her comeback after a two-year hiatus earned her golds at the all-around gold at the 2023 US Hydration Core Classic. Following that win, she earned her eighth national title at the 2023 US Championships and her sixth World title at the World Gymnastics Championships soon after.

Aiming to maintain her winning streak, she stepped into the Olympic year with high hopes, which came to fruition with her all-around title win at the 40th edition of the US Classic. However, the most adorable element of the event was Biles' husband Jonathan Owens' presence among the audience.

The NFL player, who is currently plying his trade at the Chicago Bears, accompanied his mother-in-law Nellie to the XL Center in Hartford to watch his wife in action.

Simone Biles has the Yurchenko double pike named after her, an achievement she locked at the 2023 Worlds. When she performed the skill, her husband left his seat and rejoiced at Biles' smooth vault landing, shouting 'let's go".

NBC Olympics and Paralympics' X handle shared the adorable video with the caption:

"Jonathan Owens LOVED Simone Biles' vault performance."

Cecile Landi, Simone Biles' former coach, shifted to the University of Georgia as the women's gymnastics team's coach. She was also spotted sharing the frame with Owens, rising from her seat to applaud her former tutee.

Biles first competed on the balance beam to score a remarkable 14.550. She then moved on to the floor, where Biles pulled off the triple-twisting double salto, the discipline she performed at the 2020 Tokyo qualifying round last. Her uneven bars score stood at 14.550 and the highest of the evening came from her vault (15.600), seamlessly displaying the Biles II.

Biles' total score of 59.500 shifted Shilese Jones to second and Jordan Chiles to the all-around third. After her performance, Biles expressed ecstasy on NBC Peacock broadcast, saying:

"I was just happy to be back out there. As long as we're there cheering each other on and hoping for the best and having confidence in each other's gymnastics, then it's going to work."

Biles' fellow USA teammate Gabby Douglas withdrew from the competition after falling short on the uneven bars twice.
