Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles were recently seen having fun amidst their preparation for the Gold Over America Tour. They practiced hilarious goat yoga in the stadium of the event.
This is the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour, which was started after the conclusion of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by Biles. She launched this program to celebrate the powerful female gymnasts, and it earned $19 million in revenue during its first time. Following its success in 2021, the gymnast announced the execution of the program once again in 2024, and it started on September 16.
This year both male and female gymnasts are participating in the event, and the choreography is being done by UCLA gymnastics coach Valorie Kondos Field. Amidst the preparation of the event, Biles and Chiles were recently seen practicing hilarious goat yoga. Access Hollywood shared a video of the same, where both the gymnasts sat on the mat and a goat jumped on their back. The post's caption read:
"Getting ready for #goldoveramericatour with a little goa yoga."
Here is the video of the same:
Along with Simone Biles and Chiles, other female gymnasts such as Jade Carey, Joscelyn Roberson, and Hezley Rivera are also part of the 2024 edition of the tour. And the male gymnasts such as Brody Malone, Paul Juda, Fred Richard, Shane Wiskus, and Yul Moldauer will be joining the girls for the event.
Simone Biles opens up about the reason behind the tour's name
In a recent interview with NBC 7, Simone Biles revealed the reason behind the name of the Gold Over America Tour event. This tour was named to highlight her reputation as the GOAT. She said that one of her friends suggested the name and added that this event was not about winning medals.
"It’s so much fun. My friend actually made the name for the Tour because we were kind of stuck on it for a while," said Simone Biles. "So, we were like what can we do so it’s an acronym for Gold Over America Tour. I just thought that was perfect. Then I was like ‘Absolutely’. Because it’s not about winning medals, it’s really about each and every one of us have a story to tell and each and every one of us have a piece of golden side of us. We just have to figure out what that is and let it shine.”
This edition of the Gold Over America Tour started on September 16, which was held on the Oceanside, and the most recent one was executed in San Jose on September 21. The team will next be performing in Salt Lake City on September 23rd.
