Competing in her third successive Olympic event, Simone Biles eased away fans' concerns regarding her left calf injury as a video of her dancing with Jordan Chiles at the Paris Olympics 2024 circulated online.

Biles was seen limping after finishing her floor exercise warmups before participating in the qualifying rounds on Sunday at the Bercy Arena. Following that, Biles and USA Gymnastics team doctor Marcia Faustin left the arena for a while and came back with tapes on her left leg.

Amid the concerns of the fans, a video of Simone Biles from the Bercy Arena was shared by Whitney Medworth on her X handle, where the seven-time Olympic medalist can be seen showing off her dancing skills, joined by Jordan Chiles. Medworth wrote:

"us: holding our breath for two hours with simone’s calf injury, simone:"

Reportedly, the Olympian has been dealing with the calf issues for a few weeks, but it did not affect her performance in the qualifying rounds.

The 27-year-old gymnast topped the all-around event with a score of 59.566, while Team USA was leading with an overall total score of 172.296, ahead of Italy with 166.861 and China with 166.628.

Simone Biles put all the concerns to rest the moment she hit her trademark Yurchenko double pike in the vault apparatus, earning an impressive total of 15.800. She scored 14.433 in the uneven bars and is anticipated to continue in the same form for the remainder of the Paris Olympics.

Sharing the update on Biles' injury. Cecile Landi told the reporters (as quoted by Olympics.com):

"She felt a little something in her calf. That's all, afterward, Biles was not thinking of leaving the competition. Never in her mind. It felt better at the end [of competition today]. On bars, it started to feel better."

While talking about her performance, Landi added:

"It was pretty amazing. 59.5, and four-for-four. Not perfect. She still can improve even."

Landi also added that she was proud of her pupil after all that Simone Biles has been through in the past few years, and the resilience that she has shown to the world is truly remarkable.
