Stephen Nedoroscik has joked that his abs got "destroyed" after being hilariously flipped by US Gymnastics icon Brody Malone. Nedoroscik competed on the 33rd season of Dancing With The Stars and finished fourth with partner Rylee Arnold.
Nedoroscik and Malone competed together at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The former's pommel horse expertise and the latter's all-around brilliance proved crucial in the USA men's gymnastics team's bronze-medal victory, their first medal since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Nedoroscik's pommel horse expertise led him to another bronze medal in the event finals while Malone failed to impress during the event finals and suffered multiple falls during his routines. The former competed on Dancing With The Stars following the Games while the latter took off for the Gold Over America Tour.
After the conclusion of their respective events in November, the duo recently met and had fun together. In a video posted by Nedoroscik on his Instagram handle, the 26-year-old initially took Malone in his arms and rotated him in the air before getting himself flipped over by the three-time US national champion.
While Nedoroscik seemed in good health afterward, he claimed in the caption that his abs had got 'destroyed'.
"@brody1700 straight up destroyed my ab 😭😭😭," he wrote.
The gymnastics duo is set to return to action during the 2025 season as they eye their second gold medal at the World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia. Nedoroscik won his first world title at the 2021 Championships while Malone won a year later in 2022 Liverpool.
Stephen Nedoroscik paid tribute to men's gymnastics on Dancing With The Stars
Stephen Nedoroscik was offered a role in Dancing With The Stars shortly after his heroic performance during the men's gymnastics finals at the Paris Olympics and the American didn't forget to pay tribute to the sport when he performed on the show.
The 26-year-old performed a pommel horse routine during his Argentine Tango dance performance on the show on October 26. Sharing a clip of his performance on his Instagram handle, he wrote:
"What an incredible experience! I never would have thought I’d be doing Pommel Horse into an Argentine Tango 🤯. This dance was such a challenge and I’m so glad @ryleearnold1 trusted me to execute every step and trick in this dance! I was surprisingly nervous but hearing the ballroom erupt as I mounted the Horse helped me lock in just like a gymnastics meet!"
"It was a true honor to dedicate this dance to Men’s Gymnastics. I can only hope my efforts can help to grow my amazing sport 🙌🏻"
Stephen Nedoroscik was paired with pro dancer Rylee Arnold and they went on to reach the finale of the show. They earned their first perfect score during the finals for a breathtaking freestyle performance on the pommel horse but missed out on the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, finishing fourth.
