The reigning all-around Olympic champion Suni Lee is giving the final touch to her routines as a video of her doing the balance beam exercise surfaced online amid the buzz of the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

After making her return to professional endeavors after a hiatus from the sport due to a kidney-related health condition, Lee secured a podium finish in the balance beam routine at the recently concluded Core Hydration Classic. She posted a score of 14.600 to finish ahead of her compatriot Simone Biles, who placed second with 14.55. Furthermore, the American gymnast has also competed in her maiden floor exercise since February 2023 to gain some much-needed confidence in the latter apparatus.

She is expected to participate in all four events at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships, also known as the Xfinity Championships, and if she does so, then it would be the first time since February 2023 that Lee would compete in all four categories.

Nonetheless, the three-time Olympic medalist is ready to hit the ground running, as evidenced by the video posted by NBC Olympics and Paralympics on their X handle (formerly Twitter). In the video, she could be seen practicing her routines on the balance beam.

"Reigning women's Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee has entered the chat," NBC wrote.

The event is going to be the perfect platform for her to put her training to the test before the big 2024 season unfolds.

The Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championship is going to be a crucial event for Suni Lee, as she is eyeing the opportunity to participate in her second Olympic games this year in July. The US Olympic team trials, which are set for June 27–30, will come after the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. If she is able to qualify, which she should, Lee will compete as the defending all-around champion in the Paris Olympics in 2024.

The Xfinity Championships are being held in two sessions, which include miscellaneous events in both the senior and junior categories. Senior women, which include names like Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Skye Blakely, Jordan Chiles, etc., could be seen battling it out on Friday, May 31 and Sunday, June 2.

Day one of the senior women's events can be live streamed on USA Gymnastics' YouTube channel from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM CT, while day four, i.e., Sunday's events, can be watched on NBC and Peacock, where the live coverage will begin at 5:00 PM CT and conclude at 08:00 PM CT.
