Renowned hurdler and sprinter Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone displayed her exceptional juggling skills after concluding her impressive 2024 season. This time she performed one of the most difficult juggling tricks, commonly known as the under the leg trick.
During the 2024 season, McLaughlin-Levrone's notable performances included two gold medals at the Paris Olympics and victories in two invitational events at the Brussels Diamond League in the 200m and 400m, which was also her first appearance on the Diamond League circuit since June 2023, among others.
Just like her Tokyo Olympics campaign where she won two golds, the 2024 Paris Olympics was a successful one for the American athlete. She not only defended her 400m hurdles crown but also shattered her own world record in the distance at the quadrennial games.
McLaughlin-Levrone won her second successive gold medal in the discipline by registering a time of 50.37s in the final as she lowered her world record which she established this year at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials with a 50.65s. The 25-year-old then recorded the quickest split of 47.71s while running the second leg of the women’s 4x400m relay for the USA team as the team went on to win the gold in a new American record of 3:15.27s.
In her last competition of the 2024 season, McLaughlin-Levrone once again showed why she is not just the best in business in the 400m hurdles but also immensely dominant in the 200m and 400m sprint disciplines. Competing in the invitational races, she produced convincing victories, winning both the events with times of 22.40s and 49.11s respectively.
Recently, the hurdling queen visited New Jersey and New York City during her off-season as she shared a photo dump on her Instagram handle.
