American athlete Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone recently appeared in the latest Gatorade campaign, ‘Is it in you?’ The 24-year-old shared the screen alongside other new-age athletes like NBA player Caitlin Clark. The advertisement video features legendary NBA player and Gatorade’s longest-standing athlete partner, Michael Jordan's voiceover.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone returned to the limelight in April at Mt. SAC Relays. She came second with her team in the 4x100m race, clocking 42.93s. It was McLaughlin-Levrone’s first athletic appearance after the World Athletics Championships 2023. The athlete had withdrawn from the competition at Budapest, reasoning her knee injury.

After months of wait, the 400m hurdles sprinter is back with a bang. The athlete is dedicatedly building up for the Paris Olympics 2024. Recently, the world’s leading sports drink brand Gatorade celebrated the track and field athlete’s spirit of returning to the sport in its latest campaign.

Gatorade’s new advertisement targets encouraging athletes to overcome challenging life situations and reconnect with their inner drive and passion. Narrated by Michael Jordan, the video focuses on pushing GenZ athletes to stay committed to their sports despite their hardships and external pressure.

The official Instagram page of Gatorade posted the video of its latest campaign featuring Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone sweating it out on the track. It captioned the video,

“IT sweats everything. #IsItInYou #Gatorade_Partner”

The clip also featured reputed athletes like NFL star Josh Allen, NBA prodigy Caitlin Clark, Jayson Tatum, WNBA champion A’ja Wilson, and high school football star DJ Lagway.


Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone on dealing with her shortcomings and learning to love track and field again

On May 20, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone stunned the world with her 200m win at the LA Grand Prix 2024. Although it was a new category for the American athlete, she managed to clock a personal best of 22.07s.

McLaughin-Levrone left behind popular athletes like Abby Steiner and Brittany Brown at 22.32s and 22.35s, respectively.

After achieving the stunning victory, the athlete shared an Instagram post expressing her feelings. She mentioned facing her hardships and learning to love track and field:

“Learning to fall back in love with the sport I’ve grown up in. It has its ups and downs with injuries, shortcomings, and everything in between. Still, it’s the most joyful experience to feel the freedom of running.”

Furthermore, she showed gratefulness to the almighty:

“To get to do what you love everyday is a gift, and to have an opportunity to share Gods message through that makes the journey have true meaning. Grateful for progress, and thankful for Gods grace. 😊🏃🏽‍♀️✨”

Although McLaughlin-Levrone stunned the sports world with her performance in the 200, she is dedicatedly preparing for the 4x400m hurdles for the Paris Olympics 2024.
