Usain Bolt wore his iconic Jamaican jersey while hanging out with the crew for a commercial shoot. While at it, he also hilariously threw trash into the can like a basketball. Bolt gained global fame as the fastest man in history, still standing with world records in the 100m and 200m years after his retirement.
Bolt rose to fame at the 2002 World Championships, winning the 200m feat in a record-breaking time. He unfurled his dominance in the sprinting events by breaking the 100m and 200m world records at the 2009 World Championships. His 100m time of 9.58s and 200m time of 19.19s stand untouched.
Bolt competed in three editions of the Games (2008, 2012, and 2016) and amassed eight gold medals, constantly improving upon his Olympic record times. He retired in 2017 but his prominence in the track world still resonates. He often makes sporting appearances and was present on the Seine in Paris to unveil the next Olympic and Paralympic torch.
On November 10, 2024, the 38-year-old shared a glimpse of his fun time while shooting for a commercial. The video montage started with the world record holder aiming to throw a bag packet in the trash can, followed by a light-hearted conversation with a crew member regarding his height.
"I watch a lot of (Steph) Curry," after landing the trash inside the can.
The video also featured him in an olive green hoodie and a black-and-white Puma outfit with gold medals around his neck. He also showed off his iconic pose in a Jamaican jersey, captioning the post as,
"Vibes"
Ahead of the Paris Games, Usain Bolt claimed that he didn't see anybody break his world records anytime soon.
"I don't think so. Not right now. I think there's a long way to go. You understand, I don't see anybody really break the record. So I think I still have a few more years to go (laughs), he said to PTI (via Economic Times)
The Jamaican added 11 World titles to his repertoire besides earning two silvers and a bronze.
Usain Bolt on why the Olympic Games are so special

Despite retiring from his sport, Bolt hailed the Olympic Games as a platform that celebrates inclusivity and athletes competing in different sports after years of hard work.
"I think because it brings so much sports together. It really helps people to see the different disciplines and see how hard other athletes work to get to the level. I think that's why it's such a big thing, because it's a group, and everybody's all-inclusive. That's why I think it makes it special," he said at the 2024 Laureus Award. (via Olympics.com)
Since he competed in track and field, Usain Bolt didn't have an opportunity to watch other sports. But he enjoyed swimming, basketball, and football, now that he drew a line to his storied career.
