Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo expressed their excitement to witness Sha'Carri Richardson and Simone Biles perform at the Games in the French capital. While Richardson is set to begin her campaign at the Games on August 2, 2024, Biles will be seen competing on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Grande and Erivo, whose new movie "Wicked" is about to release in November 2024, were seen embracing the festive and electrifying vibes in the French capital. The duo posed for pictures on the red carpet ahead of the iconic Eiffel Tower before witnessing the one-of-a-kind opening ceremony.

In an interview with NBC Olympics before the ceremony, the elegantly dressed pair expressed their excitement for the Games, particularly anticipating Richardson and Biles' performance. When asked about their experience at the Games, Grande said,

"I mean it's very overwhelming, I'm very excited."

"This is the first Olympics I have been able to attend in person and it's been a forever dream to do this," added Erivo.

Further, when asked about the performance they were most looking forward to, Grande responded,

"We are so excited for the women's gymnastics. We were like counting down."

"In track and field, we definitely want to see Sha'carri," added Erivo. "I think she is in the space, the time, and the place."

"And Simone, we are excited. Incredible," said Grande.

Sha'Carri Richardson will compete in two individual track and field events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Commencing her campaign at the Games on Friday, August 2, 2024, Richardson will vie in the 100m and 200m sprinting events. The schedule (all rounds) of which is given below.

11:50 - Women's 100m round 1

Saturday, August 3, 2024:

19:50 - Women's 100m semi-final round

21:20 - - Women's 100m final round

Sunday, August 4, 2024:

10:55 - Women's 200m round 1

Monday, August 5, 2024:

12:50 - Women's 200m repechage round

20:45 - Women's 200m semi-final round

Tuesday, August 6, 2024:

21:40 - Women's 200m final round

Sha'Carri Richardson is also expected to compete in the women's 4x100m relay event, the first round of which will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:35, with the final round on the following day at 19:45.
