Simone Biles and her team recently celebrated the success of the tour opener of the 2024 Gold Over America Tour. The show took place at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, San Diego County, starting on Monday, September 16.
The tour will travel through multiple American cities including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Boston, among others. Spanning over a month, the Gold Over America Tour will finally conclude on November 3, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Following the tour’s opener at the Frontwave Arena, Biles took to her Instagram story to share about its success where she and other gymnasts can be seen celebrating backstage after their performance as the tour commenced at the arena located in the USA’s California State. A glimpse of their celebration can be seen here where she captioned her story.
“FIRST SHOW WAS SUCCESSFUL 🐐🐐🐐”
Additionally, the gymnasts were caught on camera cheering and shouting:
"We did it!"
In addition to Biles, two-time Olympic medalist Jordan Chiles, World Championships gold medalist Joscelyn Roberson, and four-time European champion Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos were among other prominent athletes who were captured celebrating the tour opener's success.
Alongside Biles and her gymnastics team, several male gymnasts were also in attendance at the tour opener, including Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer, Fred Richard, Shane Wiskus, and Casimir Schmidt. They will also showcase their skills as part of the Gold Over America Tour team.

Simone Biles shares her thoughts on 2024 Gold Over America Tour
Simone Biles, who is the most decorated gymnast in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships history, recently opened up about the Gold Over America Tour in an exclusive interview with NBC 7. She said (starting 1:14 onwards):
“Oh my goodness, I feel like this is the Olympic celebration tour and this is exactly how we do it. We wanna give these gymnasts an opportunity to tell their story personally because some of us don't have the platforms. But, other than that it's so much fun."
"It's kind of like a pop style concert with some of the best gymnasts in the world. And I think it would be super exhilarating, very high energy and the crowd would love this. It's something that has never been done before like this,” she added.
She expressed her belief that the tour would be better than the 2021 edition, adding:
“We did after 2021 but I think this year's show is going to be way way better and I just can't wait for everyone to see it.”
It is worth noting that the Gold Over America Tour was first launched by Simone Biles in 2021 following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
