Riley Gaines has reacted to the shooting that occurred at Donald Trump’s rally at Butler, Pennsylvania. Donald Trump is bidding to be re-elected into office on Tuesday, November 5, the day of the elections.
However, things went south during his speech as gunshots were heard and the former president had to be whisked to safety. As reported by Reuters, Trump did not escape without an injury as he was shot in the right ear but it was further reported that he was safe.
Through his Truth Social platform, Trump confirmed that he was indeed shot in the ear and there was a lot of bleeding. As he was being taken to safety, he had blood splashed on his face. Trump has since been taken to hospital.
However, the rally ended in disaster as one of the attendees died and two others were critically injured. The shooter was also confirmed dead by a statement released by the Secret Service.
"I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. Much bleeding took place," he said.
Riley Gaines, reacting to the unfortunate happenings of the rally in Pennsylvania, shared the devastating news on her X handle, noting that it must have been an assassination attempt.
Gaines added that the law should prosecute the people behind the heinous act as they did to Trump. She rallied behind Trump, insisting that she would do anything to vote for the former president.
"We just witnessed an assassination attempt. Prayers high. Prosecute this individual with the same intensity they used against Trump. I'm sick," Riley Gaines said.

The former swimmer shared on her X, noting that the news being spread was fake, clarifying that there was no filed lawsuit. She also aimed a dig at Goldberg, with doubts that she is worth a lot.
The news was shared by an X user, who claimed that Gaines had just won the lawsuit, a good move for the ‘good guys.’
"Riley Gaines just won a $10 million defamation suit against Whoopi Goldberg. Score one for the good guys," the tweet read.
Gaines replied to the tweet:
"As much as I would love to take Whoopi Goldberg for all she’s worth (which probably isn’t a lot), I didn’t win a $10 million defamation suit. Fake news."
