Simone Biles' husband and NFL safety Jonathan Owens has revealed that they share a common love for food and are always in search of a nice restaurant. The two are getting to spend quality time together after a long break that saw Biles win four medals at the Paris Olympics.
Owens and Biles started dating in 2020 and tied the knot three years later on two separate occasions in April and May 2023. However, the couple has rarely lived together since with the gymnast making a comeback in the same year while Owens was with the Green Bay Packers.
Biles' focus shifted to the Paris Olympics in 2024 while Owens signed with Chicago Bears on a two-year deal worth $4.5 million. The gymnast was further busy with the Gold Over America Tour following the Games and after its conclusion earlier this month, the two are finally enjoying their married life in Chicago.
Speaking in an interview with Fox 32 Chicago, Owens expressed joy at finally being able to enjoy their married life.
"I mean last year she was still training and I was up in Green Bay so we weren't able to be together as much. This is really like our first time getting being able to just be married and I come home and it's a food cooking and it smells good, " he said. [7:20 0nwards]
The 29-year-olf further added Simone Biles is helping him with taking care of his dog. They also share a common love for food and are always on the lookout for a nice place to eat out.
"It's just been great just to be able to be married and obviously we are in Chicago so it's a good city, bunch of good food and we're big foodies. So we are always making a new list of places to go and figuring out new restaurants, so it's been amazing," he added
Simone Biles shares Thanksgiving dinner plans with husband Jonathan Owens
Jonathan Owens is playing against the Detroit Lions on the occasion of Thanksgiving and not only does his wife Simone Biles plan to attend the game, she has hired a private chef to have a special dinner prepared for them and some of Owens' teammates when they get back home after the game.
Revealing her plans in an interview with US Weekly, she said:
"I’ll fly up in the morning and fly right back, just so we can still spend Thanksgiving together. Holidays are revolving around sports right now, especially in the football world with them sometimes playing."
"We’ll just have a chef come and cook. I think some of his teammates will come through and grab a plate, especially if they don’t have family in the area. It is a little bit more difficult, but it is kind of nice that we can just relax," Simone Biles added.
Owens traveled to the Paris Olympics earlier this year to watch Biles win multiple gold medals. He had to take a week off from the team's preseason training camp and was reported to have negotiated it during his contract talks in March 2024.
