Simone Biles recently opened up about the time she spends with her husband, Jonathan Owens, who is also an NFL player for the Chicago Bears. The couple is mostly in a long-distance relationship because of their commitment towards their respected sports.
Biles recently concluded her Paris Olympics journey, where she won four medals, of which three were gold and one was silver. She won gold in the team all-around event, where the Americans beat out fellow podium finishers Italy and Brazil.
Along with this, she clinched gold in the individual all-around, where she registered 59.131 points, trouncing Rebecca Andrade and Suni Lee. Her third gold was in the vault, where she posted 15.300 points.
Biles is currently performing at the Gold Over America Tour, and Owens is in the middle of the NFL season. The latter's most recent match was against the Indianapolis Colts, which the Bears lost 16-21.
Simone Biles recently spoke to Us Weekly and opened up about the amount of time she spent with her husband. When asked about how she and Owens made time for each other, the gymnast said:
"I feel like the hardest time because we are long distance would be quality time but whenever we are together, we really cherish those moments and make those memories and we usually try to go to a nice dinner and then relax at the house because that truly is so special for us and we met during covid, so that was like, that's all we were doing was in the house, being around each other, so I think that's truly special but it's also nice that we get to go out and support one another in their respective sports," said Simone Biles. Simone Biles revealed the reason behind getting a tattoo of Jonathan Owens on her ring finger
Simone Biles recently showcased an adorable gesture toward her husband, Jonathan Owens. She got a tattoo of the initial of his first name on her ring finger and opened up about the reason behind getting it in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. She stated that the reason behind getting the tattoo was very "sentimental," and that Owens has a tattoo of her initial on his finger too.
"It's very sentimental and he (Jonathan Owens) also has an 'S' on his ring finger as just an ode to me," Simone Biles said. "He loves me so much and I love him and I knew that it would be such a big surprise. I actually called him the other day because we tattoed in Arizona after the show literally two days ago."
"I wanted to surprise him because he already got his and I kept telling him no, I'm not doing it. So he actually woke up in the middle of the night and I had just landed in San Francisco and he was like 'I am going to cry,'" she added.
Simone Biles will next be seen performing on Day 7 of the Gold Over America Tour, which is slated to be held on Minneapolis on September 27. Jonathan Owens, on the other hand, will next be competing against the likes of the Los Angeles Rams on September 29, 2024.
