"We will be ready"- Hunter Woodhall reacts after qualifying for his third Paralympic Games following dominance in the trials

Hunter Woodhall clinched his berth for the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Woodhall earned the feat a few days after his wife Tara Davis-Woodhall qualified for the long jump event at the Paris Olympics.

Woodhall clinched his berth in the prestigious event by dominating the Men's T62 400m and Men's T62 100m events at the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Track and Field Trials held at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday 21.

In the men's T62 400m, Woodhall clocked 46.09 seconds to seal his Olympic berth, defeating the likes Blake Leeper and Lucas Jundt, who clocked 48.00 seconds and 54.04 seconds, respectively.

Further, the 25-year-old registered a timing of 10.78 seconds in the men's T62 100m, surpassing David Prince (11.03s) and (11.29s). Following the feat, he took to social media to inform the fans about his achievement.

"Officially selected to represent Team USA at the Paralympics," Woodhall wrote. "I’m heading to Paris for my 3rd Paralympic Games. I got the best team in the world, we will be ready."
"Finished with 2 PRs - 100m - 10.75, 400m - 46.09."

The 2024 Paris Paralympics will kick off on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 and will conclude on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Tara Davis-Woodhall praised her husband Hunter Woodhall after he qualified for his third edition of the Paralympics.

Davis-Woodhall posted a heart-warming picture of the couple and penned an emotional message.

"You inspire me every day to work hard and to never give up," Woodhall-Davis wrote. "You my sir are the best to ever do it. Today you broke the American Record for the 100m. A race that you wanted to start doing because it was fun. Today showed you what you are capable of. Tomorrow will show you what you’re made of.✨"

Hunter Woodhall secured a silver medal and a bronze medal in the men's T44 200m and T44 400m at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. Three summers later at the 2020 Tokyo Games, he collected a bronze medal in the men's T62 400m.

The athletic events at the 2024 Paris Paralympics will commence on August 30, 2024.
