Gabby Thomas has risen to global prominence following her record-breaking campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she clinched gold medals in the women’s 200m, the 4x100m relay, and the 4x400m relay events. Her boyfriend, Spencer McManes, works as a senior customer success manager at DataGrail.
McManes and his family were in attendance at Stade de France to show their full support for the track and field star. After winning her first individual Olympic gold, the couple shared a heartfelt moment by hugging each other, celebrating her remarkable achievement.
Gabby Thomas has been in a relationship with Spencer McManes since October 2022. According to his LinkedIn profile, McManes joined DataGrail as a senior customer success manager in August 2023, having previously worked in the same designation at People.ai from May 2021 till August 2023.
Before this, McManes joined the McChrystal Group as an analyst in July 2017 before getting promoted to the role of Associate two years later. He was later promoted to the position of Senior Associate in January 2021.
In addition to his role at DataGrail, he also founded the non-alcoholic drink KAVIVA in March 2023. According to the product's website, this beverage resembles a hard seltzer or sparkling water and is available in 12 oz (355ml) cans.
Spencer McManes attended Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Georgia. He also played football as a quarterback for Yale University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government in 2017.

Spencer McManes’ mother Lori Francis McManes has been a huge admirer of Gabby Thomas. Following Thomas’ qualification at the Paris Olympics, Lori took to her Instagram on July 01 to express pride in Thomas’ achievements in the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. She said:
