What is Nastia Liukin doing now? Everything about the post-retirement life of former Olympic all-around champion 

Nastia Liukin is arguably one of the greatest American gymnasts. Following her retirement in 2012, she joined NYU's School of Professional Studies and has been very active on social media. She has also worked as a commentator for NBC, runs a blog on fashion and beauty, and has announced that she would be in Paris to support the USA gymnastics team led by Simone Biles.

Liukin hails from an accomplished gymnastics family. Her father, Valeri Liukin was also an Olympic gymnast. She turned heads at the 2008 Olympic Games after winning five medals, the most by anyone in that edition. Liukin won gold in the all-around competition, three silvers in team, uneven bars and balance beam and a bronze in floor exercise.

Further, at the Artistic World Championships, the 34-year-old won four gold medals, two on balance beam and one each in uneven bars and team competition. She has also won an impressive five world silver medals.

Nastia Liukin didn't qualify for the 2012 London Olympics, partly because of an injury, and announced her retirement after the Olympic Trials that year. She subsequently joined New York University, attending the School of Professional Studies, and majored in Sports Management. During her time at the University, she also competed in “Dancing With The Star”.

The Olympic medalist has appeared on NBC's American Warrior Ninja and was part of the organization’s 2014 Winter Olympic Games coverage. Liukin also appeared on FOX's ‘Special Forces’ last year along with a few other celebrities.

Additionally, Luikin runs an eponymous website where the 34-year-old writes on topics such as fashion, beauty, health and wellness, and travel.

Luikin wasn't named on NBC's list of commentators for the 2024 Paris Olympics but had announced in an Instagram post earlier this year that she was excited to be in Paris and support Team USA.

Who is Nastia Liukin's boyfriend?

Nastia Liukin announced her relationship with Ben Weyand in April 2022. Weyand works for Trive Capital, and the gymnast has called him "the hardest and the most determined worker." She regularly posts about her boyfriend on her Instagram handle.

The Olympian had earlier dated NFL player Matt Lombardi. She announced her relationship with Lombardi in 2015 and the couple had plans to marry in 2017. However, they postponed the wedding with Liukin telling People about the decision:

"My career has been so crazy, we both felt it was best to take a breather and focus on spending time with each other."

However, the marriage was ultimately called off in 2018.
