Simone Biles has had a phenomenal 2024, but her busy schedule has caught up to her. The gymnast recently shared with fans that she was going through a ‘tough week’ as the ‘Gold Over America' tour came to a close. The American has expressed her dissatisfaction with the US presidential elections as well, which has possibly contributed to her difficult week.
Biles first launched the GOAT Tour in 2021, right after the Tokyo Olympics. Back then the tour featured only female gymnasts and played 34 shows in 32 cities. The event was a major success, drawing massive crowds and grossing over $19 million.
In 2024, the Olympic champion announced that the Gold Over America Tour was returning for a second iteration. This time, the tour featured male gymnasts as well and played 32 shows throughout one and a half months. The second edition of the GOAT Tour came to a close earlier this week, leaving many gymnasts, including Biles, emotional.
This past week also saw Donald Trump win the US Presidential elections, a result that left Simone Biles unhappy. Taking to her Instagram stories to reflect on all this, the gymnast wrote,
“Welp, what a tough week, lots of feelings but I'm going to share some recent happies from tour.”

Biles then went on to share a handful of previously unseen pictures from the GOAT Tour.

While traveling across the country for a month and a half might be stressful for some, Simone Biles doesn't quite agree. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the gymnast compared her shows to the Paris Olympics, saying the former came with little pressure.
“Coming back from the Olympics after all the win feels incredible. You know, it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the full Team USA gymnastics team, but like, to put on a show like this, there’s no stress to it.”
She went on to add that the tour allowed the gymnasts to bond, while also inspiring the next generation.
“We’re having so much fun connecting, making memories that will last a lifetime, and cherishing what we did in Paris. And we’re so blessed to be selling out some of these arenas; I don’t think some of the cast realizes the impact they’ve made and will have on these kids in the crowd watching us.”
At the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles helped the USA reclaim the team's gold. She then went on to win individual titles in the all-around and vault, while settling for silver on the floor behind Rebecca Andrade.
