The U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials 2024 featured a few electrifying performances from the athletes at Hayward Field so far. Top sprinters, including Noah Lyles, Sha'Carri Richardson, and Kenny Bednarek will compete in the 200m event at the Trials.
Fans are poised for an edge-of-the-seat showdown during the male and female 200m event in Eugene, Oregon. Richardson and Lyles proved their prospects as formidable contenders in the 100m event by dominating with 10.71 and 9.83 seconds respectively.

Sha'Carri Richardson defeated Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry in the 100m event, who clocked 10.80s and 10.89s respectively, to earn her first Olympic quota. She will next compete in the 200m event at the Trials.

Richardson will lock horns with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist and the 2023 World Championships silver medalist in the distance Gabby Thomas. The women's 200m event at the Trials is set to be a star-studded affair with Tamara Clark, Brittany Brown, Abby Steiner, Twanisha Terry, Tamari Davis, Anavia Battle, Lynna Irby, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone also vying for an Olympic spot.
Richardson will step on the track with the other athletes to compete in the preliminary round on June 27, 2024, followed by the semifinal and final on the next two days.

The elite American athletes will again lock horns in the 200m event, the heats of which will be held on June 27, 2024, with the semifinal and final rounds scheduled over the next two days.
