After an impressive performance at the Zurich Diamond League meet, Sha'Carri Richardson is all set to return to the track at the 2024 Diamond League finals in Brussels. The finals will be held at the King Baudoin Stadium on September 13 and September 14.
Richardson will be competing in both the 100m and 200m events. The Women's 100m event is scheduled to start at 9:01 PM CEST (GMT+2) on Friday (September 13), while the Women's 200m event is set for 8:17 PM CEST on Saturday (September 14).
The Brussels Diamond League will mark the 24-year-old's first 200m competition since the US Olympic Track and Field Trials in June, where she failed to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In the 100m event on the opening day of the Finals, Richardson could face her Saint Lucian rival, Julian Alfred, who will be seeking redemption after losing to Richardson in the Zurich Diamond League meet.
The Zurich meet saw a close contest again between the two 100m Paris Olympics medalists. However, Richardson managed to get the better of Alfred this time around after registering a run time of 10.84 seconds against Alfred's 10.88 seconds. Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith finished third, just 0.1 seconds behind Alfred.
