The Silesia Diamond League promises some intense action with its exciting line-up of events, with the men's 200m being one of the most hotly-anticipated races of the competition. That race is slated to take place at 5:28 p.m. local time on Sunday, August 25 at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow, Poland.

Making this 200m particularly intriguing will be the presence of Letsile Tebogo and Kenny Bednarek, the gold and silver medalists in the event at the Paris Olympics. After the Paris Olympics, Tebogo and Bednarek raced each other at the Lausanne Diamond League last week, with the Botswanian emerging victorious again.

In terms of form, both sprinters are at the top of their game, having clocked personal bests in the distance this Olympic cycle. Tebogo is the faster runner with a time of 19.46s that won him gold in Paris, though the American is hot on his heels with a PB of 19.59s, clocked at the U.S Olympic Trials.

Overall, nine sprinters are competing in the 200m at the Silesia Diamond League, and the depth of the field is admirable. Other than Tebogo and Bednarek, five other sprinters have breached the 20-second mark: Joseph Fahnbullah, Erriyon Knighton, Kyree King, Shawn Maswanganyi, and Alexander Ogando.

While Knighton is the fastest of that particular group with a PB of 19.49s, Ogando has marked himself as a threat after a fourth-place finish in Lausanne where he ran a 19.94s. On the other hand, Fahnbulleh will be gunning for a strong race after a disappointing outing at last week’s Diamond League meeting where he finished sixth.

Rounding out the field will be Italy’s Fostine Eseosa Desalu and home favorite Albert Komanski.

Silesia Diamond League: How to watch Letsile Tebogo and Kenny Bednarek in action

As Kenny Bednarek and Letsile Tebogo prepare to take on each other at the Silesia Diamond League in a repeat of the Paris Olympics 200m finals, fans in the USA can tune into the action on NBC's Peacock.

The meet in Poland will mark the sixth of seven Diamond League competitions for the 200m this year, and the Dominican Republic's Alexander Ogando currently sits atop the qualification standings for the DL Finals. Tebogo and Bednarek are second and third, respectively, while Courtney Lindsey, Joseph Fahnbullah, and Tarsis Orogot round out the top six. In seventh place, just one point behind Orgot is Kyree King, and the American will be hoping for a strong showing at the Silesia Diamond League, to help him climb up the ranking chart.
