Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens posed in front of the marquee alphabet-shaped LED lights spelled 'GOAT' and claimed his wife to be the GOAT. The Gold Over America tour performed at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on October 19, 2024, with Biles' NFL player husband in attendance to cheer on his wife.
Biles set off on the Gold Over America tour with her fellow Olympians after clinching three golds and a silver at the 2024 Games. Her husband, the Chicago Bears' safety Jonathan Owens, has been frequenting her gymnastic events since the beginning of 2024. He missed his Hall of Fame Game with his newly signed team to attend Biles' third Olympic appearance and witnessed her amass the most medals for a gymnast in the French capital.
On September 28, 2024, Owens surprised the 27-year-old at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee before he headed out for a game in Chicago. The 28-year-old was also seen learning some tour steps from Biles' WCC teammate, Jordan Chiles. On October 18, 2024, when the Gold Over America tour was underway at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, he was present in the audience to watch his wife perform.
Before the event kicked off in Houston, Texas, Simone Biles' husband pointed to the marquee alphabet-shaped LED lights spelled 'GOAT' and claimed that the word was synonymous with his wife.
"When ya wife is the GOAT," his caption read.
In another story, Owens posted a video of a dart placed on the bullseye, following the couple's signature handshake capped off with a kiss.
"When you and ya lady dart champs. Handshake go crazy."
Jonathan Owens lauded his wife Simone Biles' routine on the pommel horse before the Houston show
The seven-time Olympic gold medalist has been making waves by acing new skills at the GOAT. Simone Biles previously landed a standing 1.5 trick, executed a full twisting dive roll, and even tried one of the pommel horse routines on a round surface.
On October 19, 2024, her husband captured her performing on a real pommel horse and was left amazed.
"No lie this is probably the most impressive thing I've seen her do. I was in awe," his caption read.
The GOAT will take the stage at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 20, 2024. After a week's gap, the gymnasts will be back with their performances in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 27.
