Kim Yeji is a pistol shooter from South Korea who recently clinched a silver medal in the 10m air pistol event of the Paris Olympics 2024. This came during the second day of the Paris event (Sunday, July 28).
After a fifth-placed finish during the qualification round of the event, Yeji amassed a staggering 241.3 points during the finals to clinch the second position on the podium just behind her South Korean countrymate, Oh Ye-jin who posted 243.2 points to clinch the gold. India's Manu Bhaker took home the bronze medal with 221.7 points.

The 31-year-old is going through a purple patch in this 2024 season, a year that saw Yeji catch the attention of the globe through her performances in major competitive tournaments.
She started off her season with the 2024 Asian Shooting Championships in Jakarta where she clinched a silver medal behind her countrymate, Yang Ji-in, who clinched the gold medal. Yeji followed this up with strong performances at the ISSF World Cups in Baku and Munich, winning three medals.
In the 25m pistol event, Yeji clinched the gold medal in the Baku leg of the ISSF World Cup and followed it up with a bronze behind Camille Jedrzejewski (France), and Doreen Vennekamp (Germany) in the Munich leg. In Baku, she also set the world record in the 25m pistol event with a total of 42.
Yeji also clinched a silver medal in the 10m air pistol event in Baku where she finished behind Jerzejewski. She also has a World Championships bronze medal that she clinched in 2010 during her outing at the ISSF World Shooting Championships in Munich.
