Brittany Brown's best performances in the 2024 season
Before the Paris Olympics, the 29-year-old Brittany Brown had just one silver medal from the 2019 World Championships to her credit.
However, 2024 would soon turn out to be the best season of her entire career so far. Brittany Brown made her presence felt at the US Olympic Trials for 2024, when she clocked her personal best of 21.90 seconds, finishing behind Gabby Thomas to qualify for the Paris Olympics in style.
Brown made it to the final of the women's 200m event at the Paris Olympics. She finished behind teammate Gabby Thomas and Julian Alfred from Saint Lucia, to clinch the Olympic bronze medal with a timing of 22.20 seconds.
She then competed in the 200m event at the Diamond League Finals held in Brussels. With most of the stakeholders absent, including Gabby Thomas, Brown had a golden chance to clinch the Diamond League trophy, and she won it, with a timing of 22.20 seconds. Daryll Neita of Great Britain finished second overall, while Anavia Battle of the USA took home the bronze.
However, the best was remaining to be shown at the Athlos NYC meet, as she won the 200m race ahead of Olympic champion Gabby Thomas. She also came second in the 100m event.
