Jordan Chiles this week shared her thoughts on the "comparison" of female rappers with each other. The American gymnast recently concluded her 2024 season with performances on the Gold Over America Tour.

Chiles had a rollercoaster ride at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won gold in the team all-around event, as the USA earned a score of 171.296 points to stand atop the podium. Individually, she found herself a part of the controversy surrouding the floor exercise bronze medal, where she was stripped off her medal and moved to the fifth place.

The 23-year-old is currently in her off-season and was recently announced as the cover athlete for the 2025 Swimsuit issue. Amid this, the gymnast shared a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter) calling people "corny."

She shared a post that read,

"Yall are corny"

Just minutes later, she posted another tweet, seemingly linked to her previous tweet, addressing comparisons between female rappers. She wrote,

"Why ya’ll always compare female rappers when they all have different styles… why put women against women…? Make it make sense."

Jordan Chiles once revealed the meaning behind her "I'm that girl" mantra

Jordan Chiles has spoken about Beyoncé being her most favorite pop icon, and once revealed that her "I'm that girl" mantra was a reference to a Beyonce song. Speaking with Aly Raisman in July this year, the Olympian said that she found inspiration in the singer's childhood story to excel in life.

She said,

"So, 'I'm that girl' actually came from a Beyoncé song. I recently went to her show that she had in Houston, and then I went to go watch the documentary, and it just inspired me a lot, because, you know, a lot of people take for granted who Beyoncé is, and for her, her childhood was crazy, and she became this childhood star, like 'Beyoncé,' at such a young age."

Chiles also said that this mantra helped in bringing out her "sassy mood" and helped her do "everything she needed to."

"It's more of me being able to look into the mirror and be like, okay, like, you're waking up; you're that girl. Let's go out there and do everything you need to do. So that's how I feel going out onto the competition floor. And I feel it gets me into that... a little, like, okay, a sassy mood. You know, you're that girl. Like, let's go out there."

Jordan Chiles was a part of the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour, which concluded on November 3 in Detroit.
