Simone Biles narrated a surprising encounter she experienced at a nightclub after the Paris Olympic Games. The incident allegedly occurred after her majestic display at the Bercy Arena to win three gold medals and a silver.
While doing her make-up in a video shared on TikTok, Biles revealed that after attending the Paris Olympic Games closing ceremony on August 11, she went to a nightclub. She stated that she was astonished after the club claimed that a bottle of champagne cost $26000.
Biles added that she did not buy the drink but was surprised at the club requesting the 'insane' amount. She also expressed regret about being famous sometimes and said that she craves to live a normal life to avoid such experiences.
"We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics. I went and after that, we went out. You guys, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of champagne. Like, are you insane?" Biles said.
"Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would you even try to play me like that? Like, that’s wild. And I don’t know, sometimes the attention, I’d rather not have it. I’d rather just be as normal as possible… I don’t know," she added.
In the video, the 23-time world champion also disclosed that she was going to watch her husband Jonathan Owens play for the Chicago Bears against the Bengals. The Bears won 27-3.
However, the 27-year-old was uncertain about how many Bears games she would watch, noting that she was getting ready for her Gold Over America Tour that begins on September 16.
"I’m not sure how many games I’ll be able to make because in a few weeks we go on tour. I think right now we’re doing about 32 stops (on the tour)," she said.
