Yohan Blake and Christian Coleman will compete in the men's 100m at the 2024 Xiamen Diamond League in China.

The 2024 Xiamen Diamond League promises a thrilling showdown during the men's 100m, comprising a stellar lineup, including Yohan Blake, Christian Coleman, Ackeem Blake, and Fred Kerley.

The 2024 Xiamen Diamond League, which will serve as the first meeting of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League, is scheduled on Saturday, April 20, at the Xiamen Olympic Sports Center – Egret Stadium in Xiamen, China.

The 100m event at the Xiamen Diamond League will witness a strong assembly of athletes, with their personal best times being as near or less than Usain Bolt's competitors during the three Olympics in which he secured medals.

During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bolt clocked 9.69 seconds, followed by Richard Thompson and Walter Dix, who recorded 9.89 and 9.91 seconds, respectively.

At the 2016 Rio Olympics, he registered 9.81 seconds, followed by Justin Gatlin Andre De Grasse's 9.89 and 9.91 seconds, respectively. On that note, let's take a look at the athletes and their personal best times who will compete in China.

Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman will vie for the 100m title at the 2024 Xiamen Diamond League

Brandon Carnes, Christian Coleman, and Fred Kerley will represent the American squad at the 2024 Xiamen Diamond League.

Christian Coleman, who recorded his personal best of 9.76 seconds in 2019, will compete in the men's 100m at the 2024 Xiamen Diamond League, along with fellow 2023 World Championships 4x100m relay champion Fred Kerley.

Kerley recorded his personal best of 9.76 seconds at the 2022 WAC in the home arena at Eugene, Oregon. Brandon Carnes, who was also included in the 2023 WACs 4x100m relay team, will contest against the two fellow American athletes.

Yohan Blake, who holds the personal best time of 9.69 seconds, which he set at the 2012 Diamond League Meet in Lausanne, Switzerland, will also contest for the 100m title. The 34-year-old competed alongside Bolt at the 2012 London Olympics, finishing second after him, clocking 9.75 seconds.

The 22-year-old Jamaican athlete, Ackeem Blake, who rose to fame after his exploit at the 2023 World Athletics Indoor Championships, will lock horns with the Olympians and the world champions.
