Lurdes Manuel clocked a stunning 51.29 seconds to dominate the women's 400m on Day 3 of the World Athletics Junior U20 Championships 2024. She achieved the feat by defeating Dianna Proctor (51.98s) and Zaya Akins (52.00s).

The men's 400m was topped by Udeme Okon, clocking 45.69 seconds and surpassing Jayden Davis and Sidi Njie, who posted 46.08 and 46.29 seconds, respectively.
